Boats and their maintenance, the refrigeration and selling of fish and the transporting and processing of the produce form the back bone of the local economy. This a town with a proud heritage and fishing goes back generations in some families. The first mainland lighthouse was built here so it is fitting that the town is home to a lighthouse museum.
Surrounded by miles of golden sand beaches and with a superb links golf course more and more people are thinking of Fraserburgh as a tourist spot and it has a thriving hospitality jobs sector.
